 ription Pedagogies of discomfort refer to the process of self-examination 
 that is needed for teachers and students to critically engage with their i
 deological traditions and create understandings that lead to new ways of b
 eing and acting. Within this process\, emotions are a powerful tool to que
 stion preconceived beliefs\, and facilitate debate and reflection amongst 
 teachers and students. The aim of this workshop is to outline the four bas
 ic elements that could help educators practice the pedagogy of discomfort:
  spectating versus witnessing\, understanding and exploring emotions\, avo
 iding the binary innocence-guilt\, learning to inhabit ambiguous selves. R
