r">How can universities rethink their role in cultural heritage and civic
identity?</a>\nAbout the Event How can universities rethink their role in
cultural heritage and civic identity? Cultural heritage is not only about
monuments or archives. It is also about the languages\, memories\, and eve
ryday practices that shape how communities understand themselves. The Faro
Convention highlights this social dimension of heritage\, calling for bro
ader participation and a more democratic approach to how cultural identiti
es are built and shared. Our March webinar will explore how universities c
an contribute to this vision. Academic institutions can serve as platforms
where researchers and citizens work together to uncover stories\, documen
t intangible heritage\, and question how collective identities are formed.
These collaborations raise essential questions about representation\, tru
st\, and the balance between expert knowledge and lived experience. Drawin
g on experiences from across the alliance\, the webinar will show how part
icipatory methods and open\, community-centered approaches can support mor
e inclusive\, reflective\, and culturally sensitive understandings of heri
tage and civic identity. Speakers 3x10 min talk + 30 min discussion Pedro
